The new novel from the bestselling author of Home to Wind River.

Real love is worth every risk . . .

Ex-Air Force pilot Andy Whitcomb loves nothing more than the wide blue skies, but when a helicopter crash fighting forest fires in California leaves her injured and shaken, she’s ready to return home to the peace of Wind River Ranch. The good news is, there’s a chance for her to fly helos for the county sheriff’s department. The bad news? The person in charge is none other than Dev Mitchell, an ex-Army Black Hawk pilot—and the rugged, sharp-eyed man Andy has never forgotten after five days together running from the Taliban after a nerve-wracking near-miss in Afghanistan.

Dev can’t believe his eyes when Andy walks into the interview. She’s as strong and sexy as he remembers, and every bit qualified for the job, which she clearly wants. Unfortunately, if he’s going to be her boss, their relationship has to remain strictly professional—a regret Dev fights to keep hidden as they begin to work together. But when a chance encounter with violent drug traffickers forces them into survival mode, both of them will fight to hold on to the connection they can’t ignore—and the chance of a future together.

Great series start with a HEA ..can't wait for more Wind River Protector (Kindle Edition) by Lindsay McKenna This is a favorite series of mine and thanks to the publisher and #NetGalley for letting me preview this book. Andy Whitcomb (ex Air Force Pilot..) Dev Mitchell (ex Black Hawk pilot) They survived five days together running from the Taliban in Afghanistan. They both have there own hangups and some things are hashed over and over. They end up working together again and are forced into survival mode with a run in with drug traffickers there are laughs, tears, memories, fear, danger and love all to get to a HEA. We also met some characters who may be in upcoming books. Looking forward to WIND RIVER UNDERCOVER.Reasons I enjoyed this book:Romantic Easy-to-read Happily Ever After Wonderful characters Scary Tear-jerker Entertaining Action-packedLove this series! This is a voluntary review of an advanced copy. When the book begins, we see Andy, a female pilot, ejecting from her plane in enemy territory. Good thing that Dev survived his helicopter crash so that they could work together and evade capture. After they were rescued, they each had to go their own way and didn't get a chance for anything more.Years later, Andy goes back to her childhood home and applies for a job only to find out that Dev will be interviewing her and would be her boss. After a rough childhood and then being adopted by Steve and Maud, Andy has a hard time trusting people and has yet to find a man worthy to love. It takes her a long time to get there with Dev and he is such a great guy!To add to the romance, there is the ongoing drug problem in the area that comes in to play and causes problems for Dev and Andy, but they get there HEA in the end!Second chances! Andy & Dev found themselves relying on each other for survival after a crash in enemy territory during the war. When they were rescued, they lost touch with each other. Now years later, they both are in Wind River & are drawn to each other. Both Andy & Dev have survived close calls & want to live a safer life while still flying. Helping set up a service at the new airport seems just the ticket. As they spend time together, the chemistry becomes stronger. When they unexpectedly find themselves in danger again, they rely on each other to get to safety. This story was about second chances, survival & love. The characters are well developed. The scenery is well described & paints a picture as you read. The plot is decently paced & full of action. I enjoyed the character interactions & the situations they found themselves in. This was a well written, entertaining story.

Disappointed I did not care for this cookbook. There is no index and recipes are broken down by category only. There are no pictures and some ingredients I am not able to find in my local grocery store. I like to cook with everyday simple ingredients! As for using recipes in this cookbook I cannot comment as I have yet to find one I like. I am very disappointed with my purchase.      Most helpful positive reviewBaking Nana  Allstar2k9994/27/2012This is a 10 star recipe - the best & easiest method to make ribs. A majority of the recipes that I have seen from other source have ingredients like cans of soup or dry mixes that I would never use. Other books also have so many exotic ingredients that most home cooks don't have on hand. This book has so many recipes that use real food and ingredients that I either already have on hand or would also use for multiple recipes. There is nothing more frustrating than buying a bunch of spices that will only be used for one recipe that you may never make again. The book is organized in a way to easily find what you are interested in cooking. Not for beginners. Regret buying. Sadly, I am very disappointed with this book. I am a new IP user and the instructions leave out crucial steps that need to be taken. Perhaps a more advanced user would automatically know to do a setting "this way" or "that way" or maybe even not at all. Some recipes didn't even bother to say how much water to put in. I cooked a chicken and followed the instructions to the letter, but it left out when to use the poultry setting so I figured it must not need it. Also, the recipes, while perhaps good, call for ingredients one would rarely have in their cupboard. I wish I had never purchased this book. It is difficult to follow and not well written. Maybe its meant for a more advanced user.

“While nothing can truly prepare a man for fatherhood, this book comes pretty darn close. Part handbook, part handholding, Adrian’s words will comfort and prepare even the most terrified dads-to-be. Your partners will thank you, I promise!”―Jill Smokler, founder of Scary Mommy“We’re Pregnant delivers the right balance of clinical information and ways to support expecting moms, all while speaking to what men need to hear in a way that will make sense to them and their roles as fathers. Writing and coaching as a once clueless and misguided first-time dad, Adrian clearly understands the challenges ahead and makes it his mission to get first-time dads to pay attention, and most importantly to understand what it means to provide support.”―Heather B. Armstrong, creator of dooce®"When my wife was expecting for the first time, I had little to no clue what to do. I learned an incredible amount from my wife (she already had 50 nieces and nephews) and her doctor, but I wish there would've been a book out there that could have given me the knowledge and encouragement to better connect with her during pregnancy. Now that book has arrived. has you covered, guys. Just do it. And good luck!"—Tom Riles, founder of Life of DadADRIAN KULP has worked as a comedy booking agent for CBS late-night television, as an executive for Adam Sandler’s Happy Madison Productions, and as a vice president of development for Chelsea Handler’s Borderline Amazing Productions. For the past eight years, he’s been the voice behind the popular dad blog turned parenting memoir Dad or Alive: Confessions of an Unexpected Stay-at-Home Dad. Being a great first-time dad doesn’t mean being perfect. It means having the tools you need to be a supportive partner during and after pregnancy―which is exactly what We’re Pregnant! The First-Time Dad’s Pregnancy Handbook is all about.

  • Week-specific pregnancy milestones so you’re not left wondering what’s happening, what’s going to happen, or what you should be doing during the pregnancy

  • Action-oriented goals that will support baby’s development, mom’s pregnancy experience, and the wellbeing of your relationship
  • Up-to-date information on “The Fourth Trimester” so you’re as prepared for the first months of baby’s life as you were during pregnancy

We’re Pregnant! delivers real-world pregnancy advice with a humorous tone that will get first-time dads ready, willing, and able to carry their portion of the pregnancy weight….pickles and ice cream not included.

Well written! My husband actually uses it! I got this for my husband I wasn’t expecting him to like it but he does! He’s actually been reading it! I love it when he references the book to my symptoms or something. It’s a great way to keep him informed and involved in the pregnancy! Plus it’s great that he doesn’t have to read it all at once. He can just read as we progress throughout the pregnancy!Great read for dads to be I'm writing this at week 22, and I feel phenomenally empowered with knowledge to help me continue preparing to be a first time father. This is an insightful and easy to read "book", I am grateful to have read it and encourage you to do the same. I believe the information is accurate and sincere but at times it can be difficult accepting a source of information if it's also a source of solicitation. Not sure if Adrian's publisher had a choice, bit I would of gladly paid a few more dollars for the content with out the subtle (or not so subtle) advertisements throughout. All in all, still a terrific book for first time dad's.Seems like a great resource for dads-to-be I bought this for my husband since we just found out that I am pregnant with our first. I read through a little bit of it before I gave it to him, and it seems like a great resource. It has eased my anxiety that he has a book to help him understand what I am going through so he can help me a little more. He likes that it is broken down week by week and that it even has stuff for after the baby is born.

The World's Fittest Book Download

ISBN: B07DY244S1
Title: The World's Fittest Book Pdf

The Sunday Times best seller.

The World's Fittest Book is set to become every fitness enthusiast's bible. Dubbed the body's complete user guide, it will become the go-to resource for learning all you need to know about building muscle, losing fat, eating (healthy) cake and unlocking your superhuman physical potential.

Packed with workouts the author tried and tested in the pursuit of multiple world records, it's more than a book, it's the greatest training tool ever written! Designed for anyone who wants to make permanent and lasting changes to their food and fitness, it's the first book to combine the teachings, tips and tricks of Olympic and world champions into one easy to follow resource.

This book will show you how it's possible to:

  • Improve endurance capacity by 60 percent, thanks to the knowledge of world champions in multi endurance-based sports

...all of which the author has achieved during the 10-year 'fitness pilgrimage' that has taken him around the globe.

Aiming to be the most eclectic and comprehensive fitness guide ever created, The World's Fittest Book is the sum and substance of over a decade of research and the collective wisdom of some of the greatest minds and athletic bodies in history. By learning the lessons within it, listeners will understand 'fitness' better than the vast majority of the population. Every chapter has an easy to digest workout within it and can be listened to individually. But if you want to listen to the stories and the science behind the routines, that's there, too.

Until now, there hasn't been a book covering such an ambitious range of areas, catering for the casual fitness enthusiast seeking clarity and guidance in their own gym routine and kitchen habits as well as the seasoned sportsperson who's hit a plateau and is searching for tips, tricks and tweaks they can make to their training and diet. This book changes that and will take you on a journey to whatever level of fitness you want to find.

Its Different for the Best Not what I expected.........................it turned out to be more. This book is a mix of a memoir, a fitness manual, and a de-bunker of conventional fitness advice. This is about how Ross went around the world and learned about how people from different cultures and occupations lived and trained. An example of this is how he trained with the Royal Marines; lets just say it put everything he did about to train to shame. Now this book does go into detail about how to train based on his travels and his mentors, but you'll be suprised when you see it. I personally havent read anything like this since American Shaolin and am truly enjoying every bit of it.Ross; thanks so much for writing this! Its an awesome book that needed to come out sooner rather than later.Beautiful but disorganized This is beautiful book with thick, glossy pages and lots of photos, charts and graphs. The author relates a number of his fitness adventures and how he trained for them. Pros: interesting stories and tons of fitness research and principles. Cons: the editor either has horrible ADD or was overwhelmed by the volume of material and did not want an 800 page book. There are recipes in the middle of stories, stories with no pictures of main characters and workouts peppered throughout the book. This might be intentional given the short attention span of most adults but I disliked the format. Bottom line: if you are committed to a fit lifestyle, you'll love this book.My favorite fitness book to date: a renegade read I’m biased because this book literally spoke to my soul almost instantly and I didn’t have much of a critical eye when it came to formatting, style, etc while reading. That being said, as a fitness professional of 7 years, I’ve never found a book that spoke to the absolute importance of being your own experimenter and living through doing, trial and error- a lost art of the 21st century.I recommend this book to people who are iconoclast and interested in living with everything they got! Thank you, Ross!

Title: The Dark Vineyard Pdf A Novel of the French Countryside
Author: Martin J. Walker
Published Date: 2010

“A gentle reminder to slow down and smell the grapes. . . . [Walker] beguiles the reader.” —The New York Times Book Review  “Captivating. . . . Sure to appeal to readers with a palate for mysteries with social nuance and understated charm.” —The Wall Street Journal“The real pleasure of the book is the place itself. . . . As readers are drawn into wine-stomping parties, truffle omelet dinners, and the aged dignity of a French hunting hound, the narrative tension gathers.” —Houston Chronicle   “Affectionate . . . Engrossing . . . Gripping . . . Walker’s mystery is written with a polished prose and an authority that’s shoulders above most crime fiction.” —Beverly Hills CourierMARTIN WALKER is a senior fellow of the Global Business Policy Council, a private think tank based in Washington, D.C. He is also editor in chief emeritus and international affairs columnist at United Press International. His previous novels in the Bruno series are Black Diamond; Bruno, Chief of Police; The Children Return; The Crowded Grave; The Dark Vineyard; The Devil's Cave; Fatal Pursuit; The Patriarch; and The Resistance Man, all international best sellers. He lives in Washington, D.C., and the Dordogne.

The second installment in the delightful, internationally acclaimed series featuring Bruno, Chief of Police.

When a bevy of winemakers descend on Saint-Denis, competing for its land and spurring resentment among the villagers, the idyllic town—where Benoit “Bruno” Courreges is the town’s only policeman—finds itself the center of an intense drama, with suspicious fires at the agricultural research station that is working on genetically-modified crops.

Two young men—Max, an environmentalist who hopes to make organic wine, and Fernando, the heir to an American wine fortune—become rivals for the affections of Jacqueline, a flirtatious, newly arrived Québécoise student of wine. Events grow ever darker, culminating in two suspicious deaths, and Bruno finds that the problems of the present are never far from those of the past.

"Captivating...Sure to appeal to readers with a palate for mysteries with social nuance and understated charm." —The Wall Street Journal

"A gentle reminder to slow down and smell the grapes.... [Walker] beguiles the reader." —The New York Tiems Book Review

"The real pleasure of the book is the place itself.... As readers are drawn into wine-stomping parties, truffle omelet dinners, and the aged dignity of a French hunting hound, the narrative tension gathers." —Houston Chronicle

Very entertaining This is an excellent mystery. It has all the elements--good plot, intriguing setting, memorable characters, moodiness, and best of all, the slightly flawed hence all the more lovable Inspector Bruno. Bruno's a good cook, too, which doesn't hurt. The only thing that kept me from giving it five stars was the obsession with wine and wineries. I love wine--and stories of good wines, too. I love visiting wineries. But often in this book I had a sort of let's-get-on-with-it-already kind of feeling. The competition between vineyards and the suggestions of possible plotting by the "eco's" (people who favor organics) made the plot, I felt, unnecessarily complicated. All in all, however, I enjoyed it thoroughly--enough to buy another book by Walker. His books are highly reminiscent of the Louise Penny series featuring Inspector Gamache. Gamache has a bit more of the Columbo touch, which is to say, just when you think he can't detect his way out of a paper bag, he manages to solve the whole thing--and surprise you in the bargain. Penny still has an edge when it comes to crafty endings, but the two series are similar, and if you enjoy one, you'll likely enjoy the other.Definitely recommended In this, the second volume of his Bruno series, Martin Walker doesn't disappoint. The delightful atmosphere of the French countryside was maintained, and even enhanced, and the plot was exciting enough to maintain interest, but I still think the characters, food, wine, and countryside are the most important ingredients. Definitely recommended. I shall continue ordering and reading the Bruno series.Duck fat These books are a pure delight. In the middle of a murder mystery or terror bombing, Bruno goes home to cook foie gras, in a way no-one's ever heard of. Captivating as they are, the who-dunnit plots are not centre stage: the real essence of the books is in the rich and endlessly quirky life of a small French market town cop. A perpetual theme is the poignant contrast of Bruno's life in St Denis, his priorities and methods with those of Paris, in part embodied by Isabelle, Bruno's forlorn beloved. Bruno couldn't give a shrug for officialdom and state security priorities; his loyalty is to the wellbeing of his community. Playing Father Christmas and organizing the rugby are important, as is investigating truffle market rorting, standing by his sometimes difficult mayor, and nipping home to get a start on the 6 course dinner he's giving his friends after tennis. Raising his own ducks, bottling his half-barrel of wine, making his own rillettes, growing his own baby carrots and salad leaves, Bruno is synchronised with the seasons of the Perigord. While intrigue, murder and mayhem swirl around him, Bruno maintains his standards, not the least of which is that every fine dish commences with duck fat.

The Out-of-Sync Child Pdf

ISBN: 0399531653
Title: The Out-of-Sync Child Pdf Recognizing and Coping with Sensory Processing Disorder (The Out-of-Sync Child Series)
Author: Carol Stock Kranowitz
Published Date: 2005
Page: 356

Praise for the works of Carol Kranowitz "The Out-of-Sync Child has become the parents' bible to [Sensory Processing Disorder]."--The New York Times “This book is great! It is a real contribution to the parents of the many children who are so hard to understand.  It will let parents off the hook of blaming themselves… and will help them get on to the job of addressing the child’s underlying difficulties.”--T. Berry Brazelton, MD, founder, Brazelton Foundation, Children’s Hospital, Boston “Warm and wise, this book will bring both hope and practical help to parents who wonder why their kid doesn’t ‘fit in.’”--Jane M. Healy, learning specialist and author of Your Child’s Growing Mind “The Out-of-Sync Child does a masterful job of describing the different ways children react to sensations and integrate their responses to their world. The book provides detailed, practical information that will help parents understand how the nervous system works.”--Stanley I. Greenspan, MD child psychiatrist and author (with Serena Wieder) of The Child with Special Needs “Comprehensive yet easy to understand… helpful tools for parents to promote healthy integration.”--The Exceptional Parent Carol Stock Kranowitz, M.A., is the author of several books in the "Sync" series.  Among them are The Out-of-Sync Child Grows Up, The Out-of-Sync-Child, The Out-of-Sync Child Has Fun, and a children's book, The Goodenoughs Get In Sync: 5 Family Members Overcome their Special Sensory Issues.   With Joye Newman, M.A., she is the co-author of Growing an In-Sync Child and In-Sync Activity Cards.  She was a preschool teacher for 25 years and helped to develop an innovative program to screen young children for Sensory Processing Disorder.  She speaks regularly about the subject in the United States and abroad.  In her writings and presentations, she offers a fun and functional approach that integrates sensory-motor activities into everyday life at home and school. A graduate of Barnard College, she has an M.A. in Education and Human Development from The George Washington University.  She is "Granny Kranny" to five sensational grandchildren, one of whom has written a book in his own right, Absolutely No Dogs Allowed, an alphabet book about a boy whose many pets have sensory issues at the park.

The groundbreaking book that explains Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD)--and presents a drug-free approach that offers hope for parents--now revised and updated.

Does your child exhibit...

Over-responsivity--or under-responsivity--to touch or movement? A child with SPD may be a "sensory avoider," withdrawing from touch, refusing to wear certain clothing, avoiding active games--or he may be a "sensory disregarder," needing a jump start to get moving.

Over-responsivity--or under-responsivity--to sounds, sights taste, or smell? She may cover her ears or eyes, be a picky eater, or seem oblivious to sensory cues.

Cravings for sensation? The "sensory craver" never gets enough of certain sensations, e.g., messy play, spicy food, noisy action, and perpetual movement.

Poor sensory discrimination? She may not sense the difference between objects or experiences--unaware of what she's holding unless she looks, and unable to sense when she's falling or how to catch herself.

Unusually high or low activity level? The child may be constantly on the go--wearing out everyone around him--or move slowly and tire easily, showing little interest in the world.

Problems with posture or motor coordination? He may slouch, move awkwardly, seem careless or accident-prone.

These are often the first clues to Sensory Processing Disorder--a common but frequently misdiagnosed problem in which the central nervous system misinterprets messages from the senses. The Out-of-Sync Child offers comprehensive, clear information for parents and professionals--and a drug-free treatment approach for children.

This revised edition includes new sections on vision and hearing, picky eaters, and coexisting disorders such as autism and ADHD, among other topics.

You can lead a horse to water...some might even drink it I ordered three copies of this book after stumbling upon the audio version on my local library app, why you may ask, we will get to that later in the review. If you have or THINK you might have a child that has Sensory Process Disorder issues, then this book is something you NEED to read. My daughter is 4 and goes to occupational therapy twice a week for SPD. I found everything in the book helpful and more so, it was comforting. Comforting to know that this IS a real thing, comforting to know that I'm not some crazy mom that searching for a "label" to smack on their kid, comforting to know that it isn't my parenting or something I'm doing wrong. This book (along with Peaceful Parent, Happy Kid which is awesome, by the way) has been a light in a first time mother's very stressful, very overwhelming, very emotional life. My daughter is hard, she is simply hard...hard to deal with, hard to approach, hard to get to listen, just hard. The smallest simplest things are battles, she was a hard newborn, a hard infant, a hard baby, a hard toddler and now a hard kid. Nothing, absolutely nothing is easy with her. It has been 4 years of battles, struggles, crying, no sleeping, noise issues, no brushing teeth, clothes issues, settling down issues, sitting still issues, eating issues, just trading one set of problems for a new set. And in this book, I saw, I wasn't alone, it isn't my parenting style, it isn't a phantom label, this is a real thing and kids and their parents struggle with it.This book tells you the science behind SPD, it tells you what to look for with real life examples, it shows you how OT can help, it explains things in ways that a sleep deprived mother can understand and find solace in. It gives you ways to help your child, it gives you hope. It is worth every single penny. Now you must still be wondering, well why did the obviously tired mother here, need THREE copies?Well, one for my husband - who is pretty supportive, however, when our child is acting off the rails, he does agree she isn't "a normal kid", wasn't completely sold on SPD. He read this book at a snails pace, but I'll give him mad props, he DID read it...and he sees our child in the same light i saw her in after reading and listening to this book. The second copy went to the MIL - cue the cricket noises, please...What i got from her after she blew through the book was...."what they describe could be ANY child" and she filled out the traits and didn't really see how her perfect little grandchild "fits" in the SPD category (AND I'm going to be petty enough to mention that this same MIL won't watch the child for more than one night because she is "exhausting"). So there was that, I think I deserve an award or at least a glass of wine for trying. The third book is for me, it sits on my desk at work. Like I mentioned before it gave me comfort and reminds me ways to best approach my sensory seeker to make both our lives easier. So there you have it. This book, although is amazing, it isn't a miracle worker and will not serve as an eye opening scientifically proven manual to those who don't believe in SPD as a "thing", but it DOES help anyone who is looking for advice, science, and answers to weather their child has Sensory Processing Disorder.Amazing resource! Fascinating book. Would reccomend to anyone caring for a child with SPD, or even simply sensory issues. It's a relatively easy read with a TON of practical and helpful information. My son has some sensory issues, and there are parts of this book that are like reading a day in my life. So helpful and informative, but also encouraging for those who are just beginning the journey of sensory disorders with their children. Whether a child in your life has been officually diagnosed with SPD, or you just have a child who struggles with some sensory things, things book is a great resource!NOTE: I'm all for purchasing used books, however this one might me worth buying new. There is at least one questionnaire in the book where you check off these answer that most pertains to your kid. While I was able to make it work, it would have been nice to go through the questionnaire without the markings of the previous owner.Excellent, Clearly Explained Book on Sensory Processing Disorders I purchased this book a few years ago, shortly after my son was diagnosed with the second of his 5 diagnoses, Sensory Modulation Disorder (rated severe). Though I worked in healthcare, I was never clinical staff. I spent some time in management purgatory, but my favorite job was in clinical outcomes as a research analyst. So while I had some familiarity with a wide range of topics because of that, the healthcare organization I worked for dealt with mostly geriatric populations, so conditions specific to that group are the areas I was most familiar with. So, I knew enough to recognize generally what was going on with my son when all heck started breaking loose, and if there is any one thing I think I should get a gold star on it was pushing to get him evaluated early on, but I didn't have as many specifics as I felt like I needed to effectively deal with what was happening on the ground level as his mom and primary caregiver. So I started reading as much as I could, and this was one of the first resources I picked up.Because things were jaw dropping. Walk by somebody smoking a cigarette? Gagging and sometimes vomiting. Foamy things touching him? The gagging and always vomiting if it wasn't removed within seconds. Strong smelling cleaners: vomiting until he couldn't smell them anymore. Certain food textures? Vomiting. Over-stuffing his mouth and choking because he couldn't feel how full it was. Clothes? Medieval torture devices based on how he reacted to them. People touching him or getting too close? Hysterics, and sometimes vomiting. Needed constant motion to sleep. Extremely hyper sensitive to sounds and visual stimuli. Hours of meltdowns a day. No reaction to deep pressure impacts, even of a serious nature. Certain things touching his skin, including water? Serious freak outs. 15 minutes or more of screaming with a small scratch. Trying to dive down the stairs...because hey, he couldn't feel what it was doing to his body when he hit the bottom. Sometimes, he'd just walk up to the floor lean on his knees, and then try to crack his forehead on the tile. Yah, that one caused me to get large plush throw pillows to cover the floor with until we could get this behavior resolved and transitioned to something more appropriate with therapy. Picking up my end tables or boxes of rice milk from Costco and throwing them. I could go on, believe me. And, if you are a parent trying to figure out of this book will help you understand what is going on with your kiddo, I'm sure you could go on too about your own struggles, because some of this may sound like your kid, but he/she may have their own challenges that are uniquely theirs. And if I were there where you are, I'd give you a hug and a shoulder, because I'm sure you need it right about now.So, I think this book did a really great job of explaining the types of sensory processing disorders and some things to help with them, and you don't need a medical background at all to understand it the way she explains it. And I think this will give you some great ideas for how to explain things to the people around you, who most likely have decided that the problem is either you've messed up as a parent or that your child is just plain naughty, neither of which are true. So it can be great to have a good foundation for educating the people around you, because, as the author says in this book, “the inability to function smoothly is not because the child won't, but because he can't.”I find that, for my son, as we've been going through the process of sensory integration therapy over the last few years, his sensory issues and needs are ever changing, so I think it is great to have this as a resource to refer back to when needed. Even though my son has gone on to be diagnosed with a few other things, what I can say is that his sensory stuff, though we are still fighting that battle, is so much improved it's a joy to see. He's only vomited once in the past year for a sensory related issue. Other people can now touch him. He's touching things he would never have considered touching before and enjoying it. He's usually sleeping about 7 hours throughout the night without any sort of motion. We can take him out into public without me needing to scrub either one of us down in the bathroom. He can feel some deep pressure impacts now. This book can help you, getting a good occupational therapist can help you, and I also did purchase her book “The Out-of-Sync Child Has Fun” to peruse for extra ideas for things to do at home to help encourage sensory integration as well. And I personally recommend educating yourself as much and as extensively as you have time to be able to and to not be afraid to try something new or creative if you think it may help. For me, I feel like if I've just learned one thing from an article or a book that makes a difference in improving the quality of life for my son and his ability to interact with the world, then it was time well spent. And I definitely would rate this book as being time well spent.
